i claimed my nephew last year but he does not live with me this year, will i have to repay the money from last year to the irs?

As long as he met the requirements to be claimed as a dependent last year, no. Last year has nothing to do with this year as far as taxes go.

No you will not have to repay anything as long as you claimed him last year with the parent"s consent.

No, the qualifying as a dependent is separate for each year. So if in 2005 you met the requirements for claiming him, but didn't in 2006, as long as you don't try to claim him in 2006 you're OK
