Actually, the phrase is "pull my finger" and it is the first line in a rather foul joke -- upon pulling the finger, the owner of the finger emits a loud fa** -- er, has an audible episode of flatutlence.
I've never seen the point of it, myself.

Are you sure you don't mean 'pull my finger' ?
When you have to fart you hold it in and ask someone to 'pull your finger' and when they pull it you let the fart rip making it appear as if pulling a finger causes you to fart.
Never heard of 'poke my finger' before tho.
hope it helps
