I'm looking at some jeans to buy and the sizing only comes in waist sizes. However, i know that jean waist sizing is different from natural waist sizing. I want jeans that fit low on my hips, and my regular pant size is a 1 ot a 3. My waist measurement is about 26 inches, hips are about 36 inches.

if your waist size is 26 inches - buy a 26... the number represents your waist measurement, and a 26 is equivalent to a woman's size 2 - so you should be golden

A size 1-3 is a size 25-26 (Standard) This is obviously variable by brand, which is stupid because isn't using inches and not a "size" the point?- It's frustrating. You also need to know your inseam (leg length) if purchasing jeans without trying on. Low rise- refers to the rise which is from your crotch to the top of the jeans. For whatever reason- these all actually effect the waist size. I'm telling you- if you buy an inseam that too short- the waist feels too tight. I don't get it, but it's just the way it is. Also- are u measuring form wear your waist is, or where the jeans would be at? Cuz on low rise- that's not the same thing. My waist comes in another 3 inches from my hip bone- where low rise jeans hit. I'm a size 2 and I wear a 26, but as others stated- they are size 4 and 26'.

I don't know. I have to try on any pair of jeans that I am buying. As much as I would love the convenience of ordering them online rather than going into a crowded store, pants are one thing that I cannot order online
unfortunately. Also, the cost of sending them back if they do not fit is insane and a pain in the bum. Most
companies no longer let you send merchandise back with the postage paid anymore, however, if they do then I say go for it. I wear between a size 27 and a 28. I normally wear a 3/4 but some jeans I have to wear a 5/6 in. I also think that the color has a lot to do with the way a pair of jeans fit too. I have had the exact same pairs of jeans that were also the same sizes and it seems the lighter ones fit tighter or vice versa.

I'd say a size 26 - I'm a size 4, and I wear a size 27 (7 for All Mankind jeans).

try a 26, but really, you should just try them on and see what fits best. I wear a 4 in reg size and 27 in like seven jeans or other jeans that come that way. just for an idea of measurements.

probably 26 or 27, it depends on the brand though. true religion runs very small, citizens of humanity runs slightly large, everything else is kind of in between
