i had sex on december 21st,i took a pregnancy test january 8 ,at a laboratory...i took a urine test cause those blood tests scare the hell out of me...urine tests at a lab in this period of time are accurate?

LoL... this TOO weird. I conceived the same day and took my test (urine) the day and I also got a positive. According to the Dr. it is almost impossible to get a false positive. If anything it would say we were not pregnant. I hope that was good news for you!

for one... that isn't enough time to tell you are pregnant. The urine tests at the lab are correct if you go after you miss your period. Or 30 days after your last period. Going 18 days later your body hasn't produced enough hcg to detect in your urine if you are pregnant. I would wait till you miss your period or 30 days have passed. Otherwise you are more than likely going to get a negative and you could actually be pregnant.

Urine test done at labs are very accurate (99.5%) but just to have peace of mind, have it done again.
