I tried one for the first time and noticed it makes your lips burn and tingle a little after a couple seconds.

it increases the blood flow to the lips. it does burn/sting when it works. i don't like using them.

instead when you put lip gloss on follow these steps:

1 use a clear or light color gloss with no glitter in it. cover top and bottom lips like you normally would

2 use a darker gloss (if the gloss you used for step one was pale pink use a light red) or a gloss that has glitter in it and apply only to the center of your top and bottom lips. (right between the cupids bow on the top and same area on the bottom)

this will make your lips seem fuller.

Lip gloss being dangerous? That's just absurd. If lip gloss has lead toxins in it, then wouldn't people that put it on be dead (even small traces in it can kill you). I can udnerstand why you're against lip gloss or any lip product, but they're safe. I don't believe that this "Lip Balm Anonymous" website actually exists. Why are they considered safe? The Food and drug Administration checks ALL ingredients in food products, everyday items, and COSMETICs. The FDA wouldv'e informed the public and give out warnings. Even people would sue the company. As for your idea of oral cancer, oral cancer only occurs in the mouth. Not outside of your mouth or your lips. That would be skin cancer of what you're trying to prove. Your ideals are ridiculous. _______________________ people have a choice whether they want to put lip balm/lip gloss on if they want to. As for the risk, how many people got skin cancer based on their lips alone? I've never heard of such a thing. Skin cancer exist, but lips do not often pose a bigger risk than the skin itself. People are addicted because they like the look and like the feel of moisturized lips. I think its an exagerration to say that liking lip balm is an "addiction" or an "obsession." How sure are you about these websites? They can lie, and often pose fake news to appeal to the readers and come to the website. And where and what are the scientific proof? They're just OPINIONS from scientists, opinions does not pose as a true fact. unless there are some actual scientific proof of this, I wouldn't believe it.

I agree.. they aren't comfortable. I used Lip Injection. It worked, but only a little. And after my lips were dry and sore. Don't bother. Try the gloss the other person suggested.

it does that because its making your lips swell which can hurt but makes your lips look bigger. easier way to plump your lips brush them with a toothbrush and then apply vaseline. no pain but it works
