I am just guessing, but it sounds like you may have a problem with either arthritis, sciatica or even a possible problem with your hip socket. It could be that you didn't notice a problem before because you weren't using the same range of motion in daily life that you use in the pool.

How long has the trouble been there for? Is it intense or mild? To me, it sounds mostly like sciatica (a pinched nerve in your lower back, which can cause lower back pain, lower tummy pain and numbness down your leg "a sensation"). You should probably see a doctor about it just to be safe and for them to rule out all other possibilities. Your life and health are important--take care of yourself! :)

swimming is one of the most arobic of excercises. You could injure almost any part of your body. You're hip may be due to a pulled muscle, and if you favor the hip while walking it will affect your back and stomach, although I would think the abdomen is probably due to the same reason the hip...over exertion or muscle strain.

yes you can hurt your hip while swimming. It is just a joint. A hip injury, large or small, can differ pain to your lower back, but it shouldnt spread to your abdomen. In any case, any unusual pain should be checked out by your doctor. No matter how small.

Sound slike maybe gull bladder? Water excercise is very low impact, its advised for many WITH hip problems.

I think you may have something like possible gull bladder, or something internal going on.

Go see a Chiropractor. I highly doubt its your hip.

Yes, they are all possible but you should have a check up (echography first, abdominal and then an x-ray) to be sure.
