I have a higher percentage. I am 48 y/o; to remarry this February, and well deep into menopause. My beau would make beautiful babies, and we are not even going to practice birth control, because we're leaving conception up to God.

So, if it happens, then we shall see what gift God presents to us. We already have the challenge with my beau being 100% disabled in a wheelchair, so if a babe comes along, then it will become a struggle, even if healthy. Since I've made very poor decisions in the past, I can't just firmly justify abortion.

You just need to take it to God, and ask Him for His will regarding your situation. If God allows miscarriage, remember that there is always adoption. My beau was adopted; what a great guy he turned out to be! My great grandmother (born 1865) had 3 or more miscarriages before she had the first successful pregnancy, my great uncle Herman. Grandpa said that Herman was sooooo tiny (born 1884) that they used a cigar box for his crib. They really babied him, but soon thereafter, 4 daughters, then the last was my grandpa (1894). The last 5 kids were healthy from the get-go.

Don't give up, if they didn't back in the 1880's, and kids still eventually came along, it's worth it, don't you think?

A lot would depend on why I was likely to have a miscarriage. But I would try & would religiously follow Dr.'s orders If I did. However , if I miscarried 3 times, that would be it. I'd give it up & adopt. There are so many little sweethearts who need homes so badly & I can guarantee you can love an adopted child every bit as much as a birth child.

Yes. Even after miscarrying once before - I attempted and successfully got pregnant again. If this one miscarries, I'll get right back to trying again, because the only way you fail is by not trying at all.

I would go for it if there was even a 1% chance of success. Having a child is the single most life changing event there is. Go for it, and just pray. A 50% chance of miscarriage is also a 50% change of success. Take good care of yourself, follow doctor's orders, and go for it.

If I badly wanted a baby then probably. However, I have no personal experience with this as I've never been pregnant nor have attempted to become pregnant. I'm sure most women reach a certain point when they say enough is enough and turn to either adoption or remaining childless.

Only you can answer that question for yourself. You need to decide if you can emotionally deal with it if you do miscarry. I personally would have a really horrible time if I miscarried. Take some time and truly find out how you and your partner feel.

yes i would. i couldnt imagine how hard suffering a miscarraige would be but i would try. a 50% chance means you have a 50% chance of having a beautiful healthy baby. look on the bright side sweetheart some women cannot have children at all. (the glass is half full not empty!!)

Yes. The odds of miscarrying are quite high for _everybody_.

If lottery tickets came with 50% odds, you'd be buying them, no?
