His weight is really none of your business. Unless he ask you for help or your opinion I wouldn't say anything it will just create tension between the two of you. If he's not helping you out at the workplace then either tell him or talk to your supervisor.

As for physical looks, I rather take a fella with some meat on his bones than those skin 'n' bones skeleton things. And model skinny never looked healthy nor pretty to me. Keep wanting to grab those girls off the runway and force feed them or something. Folks are too obsessed with appearances. Can't have two scoops of ice cream 'cause someone will think I'm a pig, rather than just hot. Can't hang out with a male friend 'cause someone will think we're dating. Can't have a drink 'cause someone will think I'm an alcoholic. yadda, yadda, yadda. Wonder how many true loves and dear friendships have been lost before they were ever have simply because people judged by appearance rather than actuality? The Chronicler

if i were you i'd just hope he dies soon cause he's obviously a fat slob that doesnt pull his own weight on the job. why should someone else have to cover his ***? speaking of covering his ***. i had a big fat former employer with a big fat *** crack always hanging out. so everytime i saw his hairy butt crack i'd drop whatever i could find in there. (pencils, screwdrivers etc.) just whatever is handy. eventually that guy started pullilng up his dam pants around me.

This is none of your concern. Most likely, he already knows that he's overweight and needs to make changes. I know you are concern about him and want to help, but its not your place to tell him he needs to diet and exercise. If you do, your going to hurt his feelings and make him feel worst than he already does because now he'll be aware that other people are talking about him.

it would be rude to tell him about his weight problem, his over eating and his tendency to joke is really a sign that he already feels about his over weight, you can talk to him about sharing the work load, try being friendly and accept him for what he cannot help your kind attitude will pave way for a friendship and you can then suggest a gym for his work outs, sometimes people have problems and they consoles them selves by over eating

I don't think it's your place to say anything about his weight or appearance, but if he isn't doing his fair share of the work, you should talk to a supervisor and let them sit him down for a chat re duties and expectations. Theirs, not yours.
