I am trying to gain muscle in the chest, shoulders and arms. I am doing the same routine every time is that right? I do bench, biceps, triceps, and shoulders. Should I be doing the same routine everyday of the week, or should i be taken some days off and letting my muscles recover, or try changing up my routine? If anyone has any hints or anything that would be great thanks.

I recommend working out 6 days a week. Alternating yor muscle groups. Like "push" muscles one day, and "pull" uscles the next. Or legs one day, and upper body the next. But get a routine of everyday so youll stick to it.

If you are trying to gain muscle mass and you have been doing the exact routine every other day than you need to change it up. I have noticed that you are not doing any back or leg activities. Muscle and Fitness says that if you do not work your whole body, the main muscles that you work out will not be as strong as they could be. If you are working out every day I would suggest Arnold's bible on weight lifting and slide into a part per day work out where you dedicate the focus to chests on day 1, back on day 2, etc.

Weight lifting is the process of breaking your muscles. The resting period is the process of building them. Try mixing up your routine about ever 8 weeks. Your muscles otherwise will get too used to what you are doing and they will plateau.

NO. You require recovery time. Anabolic steroids will reduce this time but hopefully you are doing this for health reasons and wont resort to that. Try rotating with three lifting days one week and two the next. More than that could produce short term results you like but be unhealthy long term especially on your joints.

3 times a week is more then enough. Muscles grow during rest, not during lifting

work out every other day so you can give your muscles time to relax in between. if you lift weights every day your muscles are more likely to get injured rather than actually grow.
