A bigger concern is the growing number of people that don't seem to believe anything at all.

If you can't believe the government, then who can you believe? The Government runs our country. I think we should be able to trust them...I think there is probably lies & propaganda in EVERY administration...what has Bush lied about? Go back to Clinton...he lied. There is always going to be stuff that we don't know about. I don't think Bush is any worse than any other president. If people don't like it, tough. This is our government, a democracy...supposedly the fairest way to rule a people. We, as people, have the right to vote for our leaders...all the insults people sling against Bush only insult themselves in the long run...how could America vote for someone that horrible? Because he wasn't...People just want a scapegoat, and they are using the president. The president does not have COMPLETE CONTROL of the country. YOU voted...or at least, the majority of Americans believed that Bush should be president. If you think they're wrong, then it is YOU who is calling the majority of america idiots.

We live in a society where we are taught from a very young age that if something is printed in a book or in a newspaper, or if someone went to the trouble to write a newspaper artice or a tv commentary or a White House Speech, then it must be true. We are taught to believe whatever comes out of the mouths of rich white men who wear expensive suits. We are taught to support and believe our government, regardless of what mindless dribble and lies they feed us. But he's our leader! He would never mislead us! Yeah, right.

You really think that most average citizens listen to the government? Hell, one third of our "average" citizens can't even find Louisiana on a map! (National Geographic survey)

I hope so! They believe it because President Bush thinks that America should be defnded against people who want to blow up buildings and ships (WTC, Embassies around the world, the USS Cole).
Don't you?

I totally agree with you. I don't understand how he got back into office after all the scandals that were broadcast before the election. I wonder if the people listen or read what is really going on in the world today. Really sad.

I really couldn't pick a worst president. Bush is not my favorite though, he's my least favorite. He did help the economy, and lots of people (mostly rich) enjoy his tax breaks. His handling (or mishandling) of the War on Terror is kinda embarrassing though, as is his lack of foreign diplomacy.
