I want to become more of a leader than I was before. I want to become stronger, inside and out, and leaner (gotta cut down on the bread).

We can look at things in a new way, we can change how we think and who we are. Ever heard of self-image? You see yourself in one way (fat, dumb, poor, slim, smart, rich, etc.), and your mind will automatically fit everything you take in into the reality you carry around. You ever notice people who lose a lot of fat or really do something 180 degrees away from their track record talk as though they used to be somebody else? That's not a semantic trick; they are someone else. Be, Do, Have. People often set goals about what they want to have, then think through what they have to do. But if you see yourself as a person for whom this would never work, you're really wasting your time. I know, I'm responding to the first answerer.

But in 2007, I also want to be the guy who dispenses truth, instead of nonsense. If we couldn't change, what would be the point of living at all? To stay the way we were as infants, always? Bah!

In 2007, I also want to take more aggressive steps toward achieving personal financial freedom. I want to become wealthier, which means I have to be a guy who feels worthy of wealth and able to build it, I have to do a wide range of tasks and set up systems to make my wealth real. Then I can have, first the wealth, then the trappings (unlike what rap videos tell ya, large piles of greenbacks and fancy cars do not a wealthy person make).

Yeah, I got a little off-topic. So sue me... I haven't got anything, yet.

You can never change yourself. In reality, you will always be you. There may be changes in your behavior that can trigger others to feel as though you have changed, but your mind does not think any differently. New Year's Resolutions only make a person see who they want to be in the upcoming year, not who they are. Just wait until the day you meet yourself. You're going to be shocked.

I could list the obvouis things that I think about each year like weight, wealth, love, and the like of those but this year unlike the years before I have chosen my humanity. In todays world we, myself included, tend to think only of ourselves. Me Me Me or I I I . This year I have committed myself in helping those in need. Not for profit or fame but simply to show that along with all of the high tech improvements of todays world that we can still hold on to our morals and compassion. :-)
