You are still divorced unless you remarry.

Getting pregnant or having a baby does not automatically change the status of your divorce. If the divorce was final, you are still divorced until your remarry. If the divorce wasn't final, you may be able to stop the process, and in that case you would still be married, but you will have to check with your specific state, for divorce and marriage laws are regulated by each individual state.

Even through the eyes of the court, once you have broken that "bona fide sate of separation" and begin living together as husband and wife, you are technically married. Try going back to court for a modification or anything and you'll find that you have to get another divorce to change anythiing from the original divorce agreement.

It means you are divorced and that you have a child out of wedlock (which is commonly called a ******* child). Your baby-mama can now go on the Maury Povich show and get a free paternity test.

If the child is proven to be yours--that is, if Maury says you are declared 99.99% the father and therefore the baby-daddy, you'll be ridiculed by the entire audience and called all sorts of terrible names, while your baby-mama falls on the floor and repeatedly yells, "I TOLD YOU SO, I TOLD YOU SO!"

You can, of course, avoid all of this unpleasantness if you marry your baby-mama (since you are obviously still in love with her) and take her (and the baby) home with you. People will then stop calling her your baby-mama (since she'll be your loving wife again) and the precious child will rest comfortably in baby-daddy's arms. Isn't life wonderful?

You are divorced.. The child may or may not be yours. As far as the law is concerned, it doesn't matter, unless the mother raises the issue. Then DNA tests and a court appearance will be necessary before the child is legally yours, too. Then you pay child support and share in the medical and educational expenses for that child until it becomes 18 yrs old, dies or becomes emancipated.

If you were given a judgment of divorce through the courts, then you are still divorced even is you conceive another child.

If you legally got divorced...your still divorced. Just because she had your baby doesn't mean your automatically married again.

Unless you remarry, the divorce is the last legal standing for both of you, and the baby is illegitimate ... not that that matters so much these days. That does not, however, relieve you of your legal responsibility to support the baby, if not the mother.
