Since the effects of olfaction vary from receptor neurons between individual organisms, the essential 'smell' taken from these places would vary depending upon the unique genetic variations responsible for the individual organisms odor reception as well as the health of said genetic informations expression in the organism. Not to mention the physical well being of the ofactory system in general and the organisms state of awareness.

In short: It depends who you are. Either city might smell like home or like hell depending on the person you ask.

STINKADENA!!

I have some cousins who live there and you can smell it the moment you step out of your car. It smells like a tarpit. Of course, they got used to it b/c they thought I was exaggerating.
