Sit on something cold and icy.

Its normal to have swollen genitals during pregnancy, especially as you get closer to the end. The pressure of the baby, the pressure of the contractions... Vericose veins, vaginal hemeroids... Theres a lot going on down there.

Perfectly normal.

Sore winners If you win, you should be able to celebrate it in a CIVILIZED manner, you don't go around rubbing it in people's faces (unless you win like 45-2, then I guess you have somewhat of a right to rub it in). Being a sore winner won't get you anywhere; more or less it will minimize your credibility and you'll lose respect. Heck, if anything a sore winner will make their losing opponent into sore losers actually, because by rubbing it into their faces they'll only get mad and ticked off and they'll become sore about it too.

It sounds like labor could be getting pretty close!! I know exactly what you are talking about with the cervical pain and the swelling. There's really not much to do about the swelling other than perhaps putting an ice pack down there, but really it's your body loosening up to allow the baby to come through.
As far as the cervical pain, you could always lay down for awhile to take the pressure off of it. I used to get so desperate I would lay for awhile with my butt up in the air just to have gravity take a little pressure off of my cervix.
Good luck with delivery and your new baby!!!!

Call an emergency room and ask their nurse or ER doc. Just explain to your regular doc that you were worried and couldn't wait. I don't know what the swelling could be. I was so fat I never would have noticed anyway. Good luck!!! How exciting!!!!

YOU NEED TO GO TO YOUR DOCTOR AND EXPLAIN WHAT IS GOING ON. TRY CALLING AGAIN AND TELL THEM IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU SPEAK TO THE DOCTOR RIGHT AWAY, AND IF THAT DON'T WORK OR YOU CAN'T AT LEAST GET A NURSE TO TALK TO YOU, YOU NEED TO GET THERE. IF THAT DOESN'T WORK, GO TO THE ER. THEY'LL HELP YOU ASAP. SOME DOCTOR YOU HAVE....LEAVES YOU ON HOLD FOR AN HOUR WHEN YOU'RE IN PAIN?!?!? I'D GET A NEW DOCTOR!
