Does anybody have any idea why there was a giant floating pig balloon in the background of the scene in Nigel's apartment?
Was it some sort of Pink Floyd "The Wall" reference and if so why?

It's actually a reference to Pink Floyd's "Animals" cover art, which was an homage to George Orwell's "Animal Farm", a book about totalitarian governments.

HaHa. I noticed that, too. I think it was symbolizing humankind's pig-headedness, which is what got the world into the hellish condition it was in during that film.

I didn't get the reference either. I thought that it was really odd and looked so out of place.
