We had sex 2 weeks before my period - and then about 2 days after that my breasts started feeling sore and swollen, is that normal to have breast tenderness 2 weeks before?

I think you have pinpointed an early indication of pregnancy. In the middle of the cycle the FSH (that's follicle stimulating hormone) causes an ovary to release an egg to start it's journey down the fallopian tubes. At about that point, the various hormones cause the mucus to be slippery, so the sperm can swim up toward the egg. If the sperm makes it to the egg and fertilizes it, then the next major hormone change is triggered so the body will accept the implantation of the egg on the uterus wall, and put up with this foreign matter for the next nine months. These hormones (The tremendous increase in progesterone) has a marked effect on the breasts.

Alot of women get sore breast around ovulation (2 weeks before your period) and most get them before they start their period so it is very normal. While this can be a sign of pregancy it isn't always a good indicator, especially since it started right around ovulation. Usually your breasts don't start hurting until right before your period is due or after you missed your period(if you are pregnant).

You could be pregnant....but I have had sore breasts for a few days (not weeks) before my period.

Some women do have signs of pregnancy within days of conception, but it could also just be a sign of your period coming. If you are trying to get pregnant then I wish the best for you. Are you having any other symptoms?

Yes it is normal due to increased hormone activity leading to the increase in body fluid
