Contac lenses last depending on how well you care for them. During wear, your body deposits static proteins and enzymes on them which will irritate your eye and/or degrade the lens with time. If you clean them with an approved saline-enzyme solution, they will last far beyond the manufacturer's recommendations. The 30 wear limit assumes the maximum average safe time assuming people don't care for them properly, which they don't.

Very, very tragic things can happen. The contact can dissolve and stay in your eye permanently, the contact could acutally adhere to your eyeball, the contact could start to disappear into your eye... and it's all just a big mess. Okay, I was totally kidding about all of that. But seriously, I'm only supposed to wear my contacts for 30 days as well, and I generally change them when they start to get uncomfortable, which is usually longer than 30 days. I'm sure the risk of an infection or something rises with longer wear, but I've never had a problem with it.
Hope you get the answer that you're looking for!

Yes, you can wear it more than 30 times lord knows that I do. I wear mine until I get a tear in it or I lose it. I suggest that you do the same since they are so expensive. That is the reason why they are to be used for wear and tear. See the saying. Just enjoy your contacts to their fullest.

Most likely bacterial build-up, but if you take care of them properly and just happen to go a few days over, you shouldn't have any problems. However, I'd be by the book when it comes to contact-lens wear. They're your eyes, after all!

I never follow what I've been told and don't have any problems. My box says 2 weeks, my eye doctor said 1 month...I wear them until the rip or are bothering me (or I'm just too tired to put them in solution so they go into the trash)
As long as they are not bothering your eyes, they should be fine. If they start bothering you take them out to avoid a infection.

Try to follow the wearing guide. To continue to use them
may get you an eye infection, as bacteria builds on them
and in time will make the lens cloudy and unnatural.

You can wear them more than 30 times depending on how much you used them and what kind of activities you participated in. 30 is just a benchmark, you can use them perhaps 25% longer if you clean them properly and they aren't dirty or grainy.

I ususally extend the wear of my contacts by using a product called Clear Care. You put the lenses in the little clear case that comes with it - and they are disinfected and crystal clear overnight.
But be careful - you can't use the solution directly in your eyes.
Keep it away from your normal saline (they look alike). I fried my eyes with that stuff!
They're good as new for about another 7-10 days.

Well, you can wear them all you want but they eventually get dirty and you don't see as well- plus you risk getting an eye infection. Wearing them another 10 days would not be bad I suppose, but the longer you keep them the dirtier they get...
