How do you get music for an MP3 player?

Question

1) I was debating whether to get an iPod or a MP3 player. The iPod is $80, but the MP3 is $40---and I rather spend less. If I get the MP3...how do you get music onto it? Does it cost money?

2) I want this so I can work out to music. Which would you recommend and why?

Mp3s usually use windows media player to put music on. If you buy and an mp3 all you need is put the music from your media library and put it into your mp3 player file wich will pop up when you pug you mp3 into your pc.

I have an ipod i personaly think it is a much easier and better set up but if you want to go cheaper thatn go weith the mp3 player.

It depends... I have both and ipod and an mp3 player. I put the songs from my Cd's on both, which is free to do. If you want to download songs then you have to play like 99cents a song. But they both work in the same way. I would suggest spending more than 40 on an mp3 player, got with at least 1 gig. To actually put songs on them, just plug them into the computer using a USB port the cord is usually provided. If you get the mp3 player make sure it is wma format compatible so you can use windows media player to sync it... its a simple process really. 10 mins and you'll have it. Unless you want to show off your new ipod, i would go with the cheaper mp3 player, like a sansa or something. Good luck with your decision.

ipod and mp3 are pretty much the same. The only difference is ipod can hold pictures and has some built in games.
To get music in your mp3 or ipod you can get music from your cds or you can buy them on many websites for less than a doller.
