Her name is Sara Gilbert and she is actually no longer on ER. Her role as an intern ended in 2006 and she now plays the roel of Fern on the TV show, The class. Prior to being on the Class, she was on ER for a brief time and prior to that she was a lead actress on a WB Show called Twins which also starred Melanie Griffith. Other notable roles she has held include supporting actress in the Drew Barrymore Movie, Riding in Cars with Boys, and a short sting (5 or 6 episodes) on the hit TV show, "24."
