Your child MAY have allergies, possible even to milk. Don't believe someone if they say "that can't be a milk allergy" it can and I had to learn the hard way (almost two years of my little one being on antibiotics!) If the rash is very severe go to a doctor, broken skin (from heavy itching) is a potential spot for infection to fester or it could even be Impetigo (which is very contagious) so wash your hands frequently and well as theirs. Next I would lay off all perfume if you wear any, this includes your mates and your laundry detergent and fabric softener, try Tide Free, All-Free or any of those, they work just as good as Dreft but are less expensive. You have to wash everything even what is clean but you will quickly find out. Even good ol Grandma can hold them and cause an outbreak if she wears too much perfume. This can not hurt and either can trying a soy base formula (if you are not breast feeding) Isomil soy is great. Plus it really helps down on gas and them spitting up.
There are a ton of creams out there but until you get to the root problem your little one will be uncomfortable, which in turn, will keep you up even more.
Good luck and may you and your child be blessed.

I would see if you could get a prescription for Hydrocortisol. That usually works within a week. You just dab a little on and then wipe the excess off with a tissue. If that doesn't work, you might want to request an allergy test. It's possible the rash is an allergic reaction to something.

He may be lactose intolerant. My kids had the same thing, and I was causing it by drinking cow's milk and breastfeeding. If you're breastfeeding, take all the dairy out of your diet (don't worry, you'll be fine, just take a good organic vegetarian vitamin supplement). If you're not breastfeeding, then try switching to a soy-based formula and see if that doesn't fix it. Lotion only helps the symptoms, not the cause.

Give your pediatrician a call and have him prescribe something dear.he may need to take a closer look at it .
If you are in a warm climate could be heat rash or he sould be sensitive to the laundry detergents. Use mild detergent for
babies linens and clothes.

My son had the same problem as an infant. I had a friend suggest the I try tea tree oil, it worked. And since it is all natural and can't hurt maybe it would be worth a try for you too

It sounds like Baby Acne. I would head to the doctor if it bothers him, but if he isn't acting annoyed by it, just let it heal. My son had the same thing and grew out of it.
Not everything requires a medicine. You'll find that sometimes when raising a child the best thing to do is let it run its course.

Benadryl makes stuff for rash. You can find it in the baby section and also with the medication section of the store. Kmart has it I am sure other places do also.

There is a great cream called Sudocream, it is Irish, but it works wonders for red spots, rashes, rosacia and the like, and it is perfect for young babies!

My son's face does that too. It starts out like that, does come areas crust. My son has eczema. they have creams out for it but they can cause cancer. Also, my Dr told me to get rid of allJohnson/johnson products, to use Dove. If, it's eczema, I use a little petroleum jelly. It works on him and me.
