My Sinclair ZX Spectrum 48k has stopped working! I Pulled Out the Zx extension 2 from the back. any help here?

When I Start The Spectrum all i get is a screen with lots of coloured pixels on it. please give me some help into fixing it as i would be so sad to see it go.

It could be the reset circuit not working, a broken crystal leg, the rom failing, something dead on the bus.....
