the same reason people like movies and tv...it's entertaining. You don't think the Lost cast is "really" stuck on some magical island, do you?

gosh this question again... Ok, the storylines are scripted. Ok, the match results are booked... That doesn't make WWE a "fake". You know why?? because as part of each character storyline, you have to sell your own moves, and you have to sell your opponents moves. That DOES require real wrestling skills. Because the fights are real, you can tell by the damage, by the blood.
If you think its all "fake" then go ahead and search for Mick Foley for example. Specially Mankind vs Undertaker, Hell in the cell. Can you fake THAT match???

Because most wrestling fans know it's a show about a sport, and not an actual sports event. Do you think people watch Friday Night Lights and believe they are watching actual football games taking place, and the game sequences and outcomes aren't all planned and scripted?
It's as simple as that.

I'm not a big fan, but it does take a lot of skill to do those accrobatics that they do, and there is some acting skill going on, too. Those guys have to be in shape. I read an article one of them wrote, about the injuries they deal with, that some of the moves hurt, and that they really do get hurt. I do not think I could bounce off the ropes without getting hurt!

When you watch a magician, you know all the tricks are fake, but you still enjoy that, don't you?
It's a soap opera, with testosterone and good stunt work. No one thinks it's real anymore... just entertaining.

fake? whats rong with u buddy... its not fake jumoping from the turbknuckle body slammin ppl all the chairs to their heads being slammed into steel steps....dude its all real every single thing except the storylines....i hate ppl like u tht say it fake...if u think its fake then why dont u get ya *** in there and fight a wwe superstar

It's entertaining, like everybody else said. Yea it's fake, but who cares, you know that when you watch it. Soap operas are fake too, but people like 'em. Just whatever you like I reckon. Why do you ask?

so agree, but i think guys like seeing other guys be beat up, cuz in real life you can't do that.
I always believed that it was real, until i was about 18 and saw a special on MTV about becoming a wrestler.
Although some of the stunts are real, and sometimes they really do get hurt, it is a big entertainment farce.

its entertaining ..i been watching it since i was 5 yrs old and 20 yrs later now well i have outgrown it completely ..its fake yes but its fun sometimes we all need a source of entertainement in our lives
vince mc mahon has distroyed his own company its too sexual now and too divided all the old superstars are gone:the rock,steve austin,etc
he is just banking on sexual appeal and it takes the fun out

It is not wrestling, even Vince calls it sports entertainment. But we like it because it is entertainment.
