Yes!!! Every other day is perfect! If you do have sex every day, you COULD get pregnant, but it's not as reliable. The sperm does need to build up again. 24 hours isn't enough time for a guy's sperm to build all the way up again. Also remember that a man's sperm can live from 1 to 3 days in you so if you have sex on day 10, it will still be alive in you on day 11. Then have sex on day 12 and it'll still be alive in you on day 13. Then have sex on day 14. So you won't actually be missing out on any days because it lasts for a while. Good luck and have fun.

From what my doctor told me, yes only have sex every other day, and if you start your period on an odd day then have sex on odd days, and so on for if you start on an even day. You do need to let the sperm build back up in between times or else you're doing it for no real reason, except pleasure. A good idea is to buy those over the counter ovulation tests, they tell you when your most fertile days are of each month. They're a little expensive, but once you're ready to be a mom that expense is very muc worth it. Good Luck!!!!

There is no shortage of ignorance on this subject. For the sperm to swim, the mucus needs to be slippery. Intercourse any time the mucus is not slippery is just wasting sperm. (this usually isn't a problem, but it might be) The Almighty set up a program that after a woman's "period" she was unclean for a time. Then the couple would come back together after about a 2 week abstinence. That certainly worked for them, and the Almighty is pretty smart, so that probably is the best plan.

Yes its the right idea, because those "spermies" will live inside of you for about 48 hours. So even if you ovulate on a day you didn't have sex, you will still have a great chance.

Based on your cycle you should have intercourse every other day starting on day 8 thru day 18. The sperm should be able to survive for at least 48 hours in your fertile quality cervical mucus.

Every other day worked for me. The sperm lives for two days. After you ovulate you're fertile for up to three days, too. It takes that long for a egg to travel through your fallopian tubes.

supprisingly the the month that we got pregnant, was the month that we missed the day, and only had sex 3 times. I was sure that we werent prego, and I was waiting for my period. 2 days before my period I couldnt wait, even though I thought my period was comming, I took a test and it was positive. Good Luck, and as my doc says, Have fun!
