There are a couple of different types of bicornuate uterus, and there is a definite improvement in your abillity to carry a baby to term following uterine reconstruction - metroplasty.

Talk to your gynaecologist about the surgical repair, your chances of a successful pregnancy usually rise from 7-30% to 75-90%, depending on your particular variation of the condition.

Infertility is not usually a problem in women with a bicornuate uterus, it's the pregnancy that's the problem, and repeated loss of pregnancy is the most common indication for the surgery, so you could well be a candidate.

Good luck.

PS, I take it your name is not really Andrew?

Definately discuss this with your obstetrician. I have seen a few women over the years have a full pregnancy with a bicornuate uterus but each persons anatomy and phiysiology is different

I would find a Doctor or Midwife that you really feel comfortable with, and discuss the options. I have heard of this condition, and the person that I know who had this did have the reconstructive surgery and went on to have a healthy baby. Talk to your Husband or BF and interview OB's to find one you like if you don't have a good one already. Good luck to you!
