You will be surprised to hear this, but I think that the Browns will choose a high-quality player with their first draft pick. The Oakland Raiders have the first pick, and will most likely take Brady Quinn, the overrated quarterback out of Notre Dame. Quinn is a the protypical pocket passer, and with no pocket, he will be taking many hard hits in his first year in a Raiders uniform. The Detroit Lions, owners of the second overall pick, will either take Dwayne Jarrett or DeMarcus Russell. Jarrett would be a great complement to Roy Williams, and in Russell, the Lions would finally have their franchise quarterback. The Browns, after these players have been taken, will have many outstanding players to pick up. They can take either Jarrett or Russell, whoever is not taken, or they have the chance to take Calvin Johnson or Colt Brennan. Jarret or Russell would make fine additions to the team. Johnson was an outstanding receiver for Georgia Tech and will most likely continue his success to the NFL. Brennan was an underrated spectacular quarterback out of Hawaii who threw 58 touchdowns, this year, an NCAA football record. Also, with such a high draft pick, they can improve their defense, just like they did with Kameron Wimbley last year. I believe that the Browns will get a great draft pick this year.
Of course, the Browns being the Browns, the only thing that is predictable is the unpredictability.
