Our emotions are enhanced BECAUSE we are human beings. In the evolutionary sense, we are still primitive apes (some smarter than others...). Actually showing emotions has made us evolve faster than animals. Animals will show anger as a defense, as do we. Animals will show happiness because they realize that others will know they are happy, and it is natural to want to make others feel good. Emotions are nothing more than a series of grunts and groans that have evolved into things that we can't even describe. For example, when someone is "on cloud nine" because they are in love, you know how it feels, but you don't know how THEY feel. You only remember your emotion when you felt as though you were on top of the world in love, but you can never realize exactly what makes that person feel the way they do, or even describe it. That's why we had to come up with words. Our emotions do not inhibit us, nor do they enhance us, nor do they diminish us. Our emotions make us living organisms just like everything else; we just happen to think that we have more emotions than most animals.

Absolutely enhance. Without emotions we would be animals. Only humans have been given the gift of emotions: positive as well as negative. They give a deep and soul-enriching level to life. Thank You dear G-d for emotions.

Diversity is in the answer to your question. The fourth way people believe there is no good reason for dreams or tears, useless, because we should all live in total awareness of our consciousness at all times. This I find impossible, so I'm not in the
fourth way for sure. Lot's of groups find it a hindrance to have an emotion. I myself am my dreams and each day as I pray for the world I cry. I try to stay out of love as to keep it sacred when the time might come to share that part of me. That is what I need in return, looks like I will be alone for some time...

Love is a great emotion which definitely enhances us. Its opposite, hatred, certainly diminishes us.

Personally, I think they enhance us. If you feel nothing, than can you say you are human anyway?
Every emotion out there is good for the soul, some learn from them, some learn how to show them, and some learn how to manage them etc., all in all we need them to help define who we are as individuals.

Rather enhance, don't you think? Where would you get the motivation to realize even the smallest goal, say, feeding your self, if you did not have the impetus of emotion.

Enhance us. One of the greatest tragedies to befall a person is to feel nothing. Isn't that what depression is like? Nothingness. People will often seek misery if they cannot have happiness, because they desire to feel something. To be without emotion would be terrible.

emotions is but a part of being a human being-it doesn't diminish us as human being-the thing is we're normal because we have emotion, without emotion we are like robots who do not have any feelings-we can express our feelings because of our emotions-yeah!

The key phrase in your question is "as human beings." Our emotions are a part of what makes us human, so I guess you could say they enhance us.
In my opinion, however, emotions are messy and annoying, and I'd rather not deal with them.
