NFL The Miami Dolphins of 72 were 17-0
College I would pick the 1976 Pittsburgh Panthers as the greatest team for one season based on their dominace over their competition that year. They won every game and beat #2 Georgia in the Sugar Bowl 27-3.

I think that for college it would have to be the longhorns for me and my second favorite college team is the Beavers. For professional football it would have to be the 49ers and my second favorite NFL team is the Bears.
