you can buy any one of it.. one part and another.. but make sure you motherboard can support your processor and others.. its all depend or your motherboars.. if its duo processor, then you should buy a duo processor motherboard.. for hard disk, there is SATA and IDE you have to choose one of them.. same for ram(memory), it have ddr or ddr2... its all depend on your motherboard..

Go to newegg, buy an Asus AM2 SLI motherboard, 2 gbs of Corsair Twinx Pro (DDR2), an AMD 5200+ X2 Cpu , and two 320 gb Seagate Sata 300 drives for Performance raid and top it off with two XFX Fatality 7800GT Video cards.

And unless Tigerdirect is having a rebate , their motherboard and cpu prices are way too high.

Newegg, tigerdirect and zipzoomfly are all good sites to buy from. They sell combo packages (motherboard and CPU) and when adding them to the cart they will recommend the correct memory for your selection. As far as what processor to purchase as you will have better perform, I would look at getting a dual core processor as it will give you better performance in applications and games then a single core. Look for a motherboard that has more SATA ports then IDE and purchase a SATA hard drive too.

This is a very detailed question. First, you need to know what your case is, i.e., ATX, MICRO ATX, etc. A free download, AIDA 32.exe will tell you all this. Then you can decide how "punchy" you want to get with your new build. Try pricewatch.com for the best prices. They have it all.
