It can be, but the question would be why go back to that. You can drop all the restraining orders and charges and what-not, but it will happen again. One will hit the other, or drink too much, or whatever else happened. Once you're out, you have to stay out. That is the hardest part, getting out.
It can be tough outside the relationship, but it does get easier. But if you go back its even harder the second time to leave. Police remember you and no longer want to help (why bother if you'll just go back again). The other one in the relationship fears even more that you'll leave (because he sees you did once) and works even harder to put the fear into you that he'll hurt you if you try it again. Save yourself the trouble if at all possible.

I think ones relationship is about doomed after that. If someone was to press charges on their other half then that right there would tell me the relationship has already been over for quite sometime now. For a person to actually call the Police and then press charges on the other person, something serious had to of accrued.
I would just move on and start a new life with someone else.

I suppose it "CAN" be saved, but who would WANT TO !!
My ex-wife was fooling around while I was in the Navy... I had found out and was about to file for divorce. She filed charges that I'd broken into ou apartment, beaten and raped her... she was a MESS !!
When the San Diego Sheriffs' Deputies came out to arrest me my Commanding Officer and Master Chief laughed and followed me to jail... I was booked and charged. 30 minutes later, the DA (NOT any of the Deputy DA's) came in wringing his hands and apologizing and begging my foregiveness...
When my Ex staged her beating and rape... I had been 500 miles away flying !! The DA arrested HER and prosecuted her for filing false charges he also prosecuted her BF who had helped her.
Needless to say my divorce went along quickly with her in prison for 5 years

I'd love to tell you it depends on the circumstances and the couple and the level of forgiveness etc but that's all garbage...no it cannot be saved. That's way too much water under the bridge.

If it gets to the point someone has to call the law, it's past time to end the relationship. Don't worry about saving it, run from it.

I can't think why-if it degenerated to that point-you are interested in salvaging the relationship but w/ so few details, it is hard to have an opinion either way. If you do suggest to try again, I suggest counseling

I believe that a relationship can be saved and it all depends on the love between the two people involved. Unfortunately mine can not. My ex falsely accused me and it seems that "The woman is always right" in this state.

why would you want it too?? I assume it is for violence, so if you are being abused then get out, if you are the abuser then get help.
