The Nile is the longest, the Amazon has the most water, and the Mississippi is the... er... muddiest?
They're all the largest for their region.

In addition to being the longest on their respective continents, they all empty into salt water bodies (the Mediterranean Sea, the Atlantic, and the Gulf of Mexico, respectively). Other rivers may empty into larger rivers, or into lakes (such rivers supplying the Great Lakes), but these go directly to Salt Water.

They are three of the world's largest rivers ( in terms of length and catchment ares.)
They all have deltas but not as big as that of the Ganga-Brahmaputra.
The are the chief ( single largest ) river systems in three continents.
The Nile and Amazon are entirely rain-fed. The Missippi, partly so.

definite. at the same time as at college, a number of my buddies canoed down the river sytem in the direction of it and then down the Murray itself and earnt their place interior the Guiness e book of information. This feat could never be emulated returned via fact it become a freakish time while bigger than time-honored rainfall had swollen lots of the connecting rivers that are often dry in many places. Australia, as you're able to observe, is the dryest continent interior the international.

They flood in the spring and need dikes and dams to control.
They have big deltas with no single exit.
They all have crocodiles.
They run through hot climates and supply water for agriculture.
None of them freeze in winter.
