Our family had a living trust for 16 years and long story short, it was designated for all 3 children. 2 weeks before dad died, he broke the trust, and gave my brother a brand new car, and all the trust $ to him that was supposed to be divided up for all of us.

My mother and I have had dreams of our dad telling my brorther S. to help out the family financially, (my mom and I dreamed this at the same time) and my brother S. always calls and wonders what happened to the $$, and so like he's curious, like something is troubling him very deeply. My brother didn't even spend one dime for the funeral while my whole family had to chip in 20K for the whole funeral. Your thoughts????

My question is since mom and I are having these dreams, why is dad coming to us, instead of my brother S. who has all the $

There isn't enough info in your question to give a logical answer.

If you think there is a large sum of money that was given to your brother, and that it was not your father's right to do that, then you need to go to a lawyer experienced in trusts and wills to help sort all of it out.

BUT, is it worth it? Do you really need the money? Enough to cause a rift with the whole family?

You also need counselling to deal with grief, loss and fairness.

I'm sorry for your losses. (plural)

I Believe that your brother is some how protecting your father. I think that that your father has been dipping into those funds for years and the car was just a way to cover up the missing monies.......................................................
