We have been together for 4 years and it is his house but we split everything 50/50...he has 2 boys that are still at home, we both work...he pays the bills (mortgage, elect., gas,,,etc..) I buy all the food, necessities, trips, fast food meals. We found it evens out at the end of the month.

You should open a joint account. all the money goes in there, and pay the bills and save that is it. it is now both money. do not have it separate, you cannot control the expenses or the savings. put all together with that person, you are going to be married and that is the way it should be. good luck!

if you both work, of course you do what you can. It does not matter how long you have been together- but how committed you are to each other. If you are engaged, it must mean that this is going to be a permanent situation.

i like to be sharing in ever thing, in love in thoughts in thinking and even in earring money and paying bills.. so u don't feel that all the responsibility for one, u feel that it's sharing..
don't leave her for stupid issues 15 years is 5400 days together do u want to collapse them in one day?
just listen to each other and tell her how much sharing is good to the relationship and she will be fine when she understand u OK.

Yes, stops arguments about who pays more. I put everything into a joint account and the wife manages it all - and I am an accountant.
