Everything? I think experiencing it is the best answer. No, you don't have to go everyday from 8 to 4. You pick your own classes and the time of day that you want them. I'm on a quarter system which is different from the typical semester. I'm taking three classes this quarter. One class is from 11-12:20 MWF. One is from 8-10 T and Th. Another is from 2-4 MW. You can work at college. If you qualify for work-study (by filling out your FAFSA), you can get a part-time job on campus. They'll work around your schedule. Of course, you can always get your own job off campus. You don't HAVE to take any classes. I'd start off with the basics. At my school, freshman had to take a freshman class, but I don't think that's required at other schools. If you already picked your major, then you should take classes required for that degree. If undecided, just wander around until you find a class/major that you life. Take the basics needed to graduate, but don't take them all your first year. You want some easy classes to take when you're a junior and a senior.

There is so much to tell! No, you don't have to go all day, every day. You look at the registration book and choose your classes. When I went (in the dark ages...) most classes were taught on either M-W-F, M-W, or T & Th; with meeting times scheduled throughout the day. (For example, you may have a class that meets on M, W & F from 9 - 10:50, and a different class that meets on T & Th from 9 - 11:50, etc. Most schools also offer night classes, many of which meet only once a week for a longer time period.

First year classed depends on the school and your major area(s)of study.

Most schools have a Human Resourses and/or Work/Study department. They try to hire students where possible and are appropriately flexible with scheduling. Jobs can include anything from groundswork to secretarial, cafeteria, etc.

You have asked a very broad question - you could probably get a lot of info just by looking up the website of whatever colleges or universities you are considering attending. After reading what they have to offer, maybe you can ask some more specific questions, to which more people will have the time to reply with short answers.

Whatever you decide, good luck!

Ok- you had several questions and I will try to answer them. No, you do not have to go every day. Classes are typically scheduled to meet either on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays or on Tuesdays and Thursdays. You can decide what times (from the ones offered, of course) you would like to take a class. This allows you the freedom to get a job either on campus or off. If it is off campus, it is like any other job. An on campus job is usually worked around your class schedule and will generally involve some type of financial aid. Every major (what you have to study in order to have the job you want) have different requirements, but the first two years, count on having to take math, English, history, and science classes. After those two years, everything is pretty much geared to your chosen major. When you chose and are accepted to a college or university, you will have an advisor who will help you plan out your schedule as to when you should take which courses.

Hope this helps and good luck!

well part of college is the fact that they understand that you have a life, so you can pick from 8am to 10pm classes. All depends on the college you go to. You can work in many different places at college, such as the Newspaper, cafe, library etc.. You should take the core classes first (classes you have to take no matter what major you have) . Oh and you can have classes on everyday of the week. Some schools don't have them on Sundays, but my college does. You just pick which ever one is available and best for you. It all depends on how many hours you want to take in college. Hope this helps.
