No, you're not insane. I ,however, would only do it because I wanted to do it and not just because my fiance "might" want one.
My husband had one from a previous marrige that he rarely gets to see and I already had three. We had one together and are very happy we did. It's a nice way to make a family whole. His daughter now has a little brother so she's not an "only" and my boys love having a little brother.
I guess one might call US insane for trying to have yet another one. I'm 30 and he's 41. However, we really enjoy our children and feel like we're just ment to have another one.
If I were you, i'd do some soul searching and try to figure out if you would really want to have a baby now.
I can tell you, that things are so different having a baby these days. The things they have come up with for babies are really neat and you might really enjoy getting a chance to do it all over again. If nothing else, it'll make you feel 10 years younger.
I say follow your heart -not what anyone else has to say or expects of you.
If this man is 100% the love of your life and the one that God has sent to you to grow old with, it might really be nice to have a child to raise together.
Good luck!!! I really hope that your new marrige goes well and that your heart will lead you down the right path on this decision.

If he doesn't want any right now and you don't either, you're fine! Don't stress about it now. Keep the lines of communication open with your fiance and if he decides in the next few years he would like children of his own, be open-minded. You've probably done well with your first four. You would have to take into consideration your independence...after all, in 3 years, you're a free woman. Do you want to have to answer to a child for another 18+ years? Only you can make the decision that is right for you, but don't let it tear you apart. when the time comes, you'll know in your gut what's right. Just let him know you haven't made a decision on the issue yet.

you are still young enough if you want to. I would suggest you do it before 40. Take it from someone who had to go through fertility treatments, you may just end up with twins! Make sure you want to be tied down again before you- act your kids are almost out of the house. On the other hand there is something romantic about having a baby with the man you love. Good luck!

You sound like a wonderful person don't hear anything insane there, children are wonderful just don't wait to much longer you want to be able to enjoy them and those teenage years who wouldn;t want to do that again. If I could I would. I say go for it.

I don't think you are, and since you've had kids your chances of down syndrome I think are lower, however you need to be careful and realize that with age there are more risks. If you had healthy pregnancies before then you should be okay. If not then think about adoption...

that can only be your decision no one elses. how do you feel about having another child? only do it if its what you really want or you will end up angry and resentful about it later. if you do great, but if not great! either way you need to be happy with it!!
