The simplest things are considered business. Nothing is looked at as anything other than business. That's why nothing can be settled; because the big greed monster steps in.

Even in their regular, personal, life people are being capitalistic.
What can personally be gained?

Capitalism has the virtue that it is voluntary. Every transaction requires two or more willing parties. That means each transaction results in a win-win scenario, otherwise the people wouldn't make the deals.

Does capitalism encourage things like materialism, and push things like family, church and community to the wayside? Perhaps. Yet those are all personal decisions made by each individual. What can personally be gained? A nicer lifestyle for you and your family. That certainly helps one live a happier life.

I think most people when they reach a certain age realize that accumulating more stuff doesn't result in happiness, especially when it means more debt or less financial security. I realized that in my late 30's.

Yeah, riiiight. Not even sure where to begin on this one, but basically if you start with a false assumption any conclusions drawn from it will appear to be true. Then compaound that with several unrelated terms and other unjustified assumptions, and you end up with a complete mess with nothing to answer.

The truth is, there is not enough money to go around for everyone, so we come back to haves and have nots. Someone has to drive the sh!tty car, pickup the trash, fight the wars, clean the bed pans etc etc.
