Those 3 little words have so much power, the power to hurt, heal and make one happy. If you wonder if you really love someone those words should NEVER be said, until you know if you do or you don't.

i always have wondered this too. i think it is almost impossible to hate a person, but easy to dislike them. secretly you love everyone you know, maybe even the ones you "dislike". but i hope you realize that there is a difference between in love and love. i could love my parents, but i would never be in love with them. i would tell them i love them. technically everyone loves everybody else, just there are some people you have to tolerate alittle more than others.

the words are so easy to say. it's the feeling, emotions, thoughts that lie behind them - that's the rub. so, sure it's possible to say it. but, do you mean it? evidently not. and if you"re in doubt, then don't say it. say someting like "you're terrific or wonderful" or look in your thesaurus for another word for "feel affectionate toward you." don't use the L word if you're unsure. you'll end up hurting 2 people, him and you. then you've got regret - and that's bitter.

Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never fails.
Words have meaning and power, but actions speak LOUDER.

I would hope you wouldn't do that. "I love you" is a statement I cherish when I hear it
