None. A light year is the distance light travels in a year.

Keep in mind that light goes 186,000 miles per second, so a light year would be 5,869,696,000,000 miles or so.

As others have said, a year is a unit of time. A light-year is a unit of distance. It might make more sense if we used smaller units. Light travels about 186,000 miles in a second. So the Moon is just over one light-second away. Its light takes a second to get to us. (And radio. That's why there was always a short delay whenever Apollo astronauts answered questions from Earth.)

The Sun is eight light-minutes away, so it takes eight minutes to see what's actually happening on the Sun.

Good Question, A light year is a measure of distance. So, 1 light year is 1 year as we measure time on earth. One light year is the measure of how far light will travel in one year on earth.

A human year is a unit of time equal to 365 days.

A light-year is a distance: how far light travels in a vacuum in one year. It is a convenient unit for measuring the distance to stars in our galaxy. It is equal to approximately 9.4605284 × 10^15 meters.

A light year is the DISTANCE light travels in an earth year which is about 6 trillion miles. It is used for astronomical measurement since such as miles and Km are impractically small to use. Another astronomical measure of distance is the parsec.

A light year is a measure of distance, namely the distance that light will travel in 1 year.

Human years is a measure of time.

The two concepts are not comparable, except that in 1 year light will travel exactly 1 light year and you will be 1 year older. :)

light year is a distance of measure. It is the distance traveled by a photon, in a vacuum, over the course of one year.

I think you're kidding, but in case you're not, a light year is not a measure of time, it is a measure of distance: The distance light can travel in a year. About 6,000,000,000,000 (trillion) miles.
