If you go to PBS.org, you can find the Antiques Roadshow web site and find out when they will be in your local region...I went to the one in Los Angeles a few years ago and it was a blast...

Look in your local Yellow Pages or use Yahoo's Yellow Pages (plug, plug...) and see if there are (pardon the pun) collection of antique dealers near you...You should be able to call them and see if they give free appraisals...

Sometimes, local Antique Shops gather and have a Antique Swapmeet where they will give free appraisals too...Check your local newspaper for those kind of events...
