I understand how you feel ive been trying for 12 years unsuccessful. Its always an emotional roller coaster if you want one real bad here are some pointers that was given to me .These are the usual tips given when trying to conceive:
1. Do limit movement after intercourse. Stay lying down with a pillow under your hips for a half hour.
2. Do try to make sex enjoyable. More enjoyable sex means higher sperm count and better “swimmers”.
3. Limit intercourse and male m@sturbation prior to the days you are trying to conceive.
4. Take vitamins. Folic acid and other vitamins are very important.
5. Don’t drink alcohol or use drugs at the time of conception. This applies to both of you. There is strong evidence that alcohol can effect your chances of getting pregnant.
6. Don’t douche after having intercourse.
7. Don’t have oral sex prior to intercourse. There is some evidence that the bacteria in the mouth can cause damage to male sperm.

There are only a few true ways to determine ovulation:
1. get a basal thermometer (bbt) and plot your temp daily
2. there are OTC kits to check if you are ovulating
3. check your vaginal mucus daily

For the basal thermometer:
You take your temp daily...as soon as you wake up and before you get out of bed. You take it for a full 5 minutes. The day your temp is the highest is the day of ovulation. For more info:

For mucus check:
At time of ovulation, mucus resembles egg whites: it will be thin, clear, generous in amount and stringy when pulled apart. To learn more about it: http://www.babyhopes.com/articles/cervic...

This site may also help. It provides an ovulation calculator to help you determine your fertile times: http://pregnancy.about.com/cs/gettingpre...

The ways to improve sperm count:
1. no tidy whiteys! wear only boxers
2. if he has a job that requires a lot of sitting, take more breaks to stand up
3. no alcohol
4. no masturbation
5. avoid hot baths
6. no smoking or recreational drugs
7. take antii-oxident vitamins
8. no caffeine
9. save intercourse for the time of ovulation
10. make love in the morning...more sperm is produced during the night and man's sexual peak is in the morning

Good luck!

Well, not being sure what you are doing, it is hard to know, but here are a few basic points. The only time a woman can get pregnant is a 1-2 day time in the middle of the period. During that time, if she is fertile, her mucus will be slippery. The sperm needs the slippery mucus to "swim" in. The Almighty set aside a time for cleansing after a woman's "period" so the couple would be coming together for the first time in a couple of weeks right at her fertile time. I think He knows how things work, so I would take His recommendation seriously. Aside from that, the healthier you are, the better chance of getting pregnant, so do everything you can to get healthy. Eat right, get some exercise...

Wrongs may also be exclusive among cultures and will difference through the years. Some cultures feel that precise meals ought to be all set in a precise manner and it's flawed to do in any other case. That flawed my have developed earlier than refrigeration was once to be had and so might not be relevant. Even so, there might be a few who comply with the culture simply for the reason that it labored for earlier generations. For persons who believed within the necessity for racial purity a few persons it was once flawed to have included faculties, shared eating places and lavatories. For persons who believed in male superiority, it was flawed for ladies to assume same pay. For populations that had been demise for the reason that of ailment or death in battle and usual crisis, you could assume that homosexuality was once discouraged for the reason that it diverted sexual power from copy. I suspect that should you assess the ten Commandments you are going to discover that each and every was once defined to deter movements that tended to have unhealthy outcome for the ones societies at the moment and by and large nonetheless does. In many instances, simply as you may have defined and to the built international of the twenty first century, those unhealthy outcome seem rather logical. In Biblical instances, only some understood the good judgment or had the knowledge. Moses was once very intelligent certainly and knew that the lengthy affliction Tribes could by no means have believed he might individually have such knowledge but when he defined those because the phrases of God, good . . . . . .

Well what I did to get pregnant was to just watch my CM (cervical mucus). I was told when it was stretchy and clear that those were the days of ovulation and to have sex a lot! After my period was done I would try every or every other day untill the mucus came and went. After the mucus is gone you can still get pregnant for maybe one or two days. Anyways sorry if I'm telling you things you already know since you are trying, but thats what worked for me!

They say the average couple takes about 6months to get pregnant, and it's normal to take up to a year. Even if you have sex exactly when you're ovulating, there's only about a 25% change of pregnancy. So, you just need to keep trying. Don't stress out, it only makes it harder. Best of luck to you...I'm in the same boat as you ;)
