They are known as Muggles. Wizards and Witches from Muggle families are known as Muggle-borns and Mudbloods( It means dirty-blood very offensive). Some wizarding family are very predigest against them.

Muggles. Mudbloods are witches or wizards of muggle descent and is really an offensive term. Half-Bloods are witches or wizards who have one magical parent.

It is Muggles, not Mudbloods. Mudbloods are people who come from "mixed parentage" such as a wizard father and a normal mother, or a witch/wizard whose Mother *AND* Father are both Muggles.
