Well, It's a matter how you look at it. You just have to get over it and used to it. Where I work, my kind of boss is about 13 days older than me and she is making more money than me too.
But you just have to be thankfull that you are there where you are and appreciate it. Also to realise that this is where you want to be, that people are different and have different dreams and It's OK our boss to be your age.
Try not to compare and not to get depressed. Because life and different and people are different. Appreciate your own skills and your own knowledge because it is different than what your boss knows and you should be proud for who you are. Because this is what you have achieved yourself and this is why it is so be sweet and special to you. Because there are things that you know and you boss does not and vise versa. Just love yourself for the unique personality that you have and try to bring the best out of you.
Btw, I think it's "realise", that's the British way of spelling, whatever the spell checker is showing. So realise is not wrong. Depends where you are.

We don't get promoted by age but by ability (assuming that is not a sleep your way to the top employment model). Our office manager is 21 - those that can not get over the age don't last - the HR person brings any new applicant into the office along with the office manage and gets the air cleared about any problems the new hire may have. Anyone who has the drive and ability - education and training help too - gets the move ahead. Does someone have to be the same age as your parents for you to respect them?

Big deal. Does he have more training? More experience? Seniority? He may have something in his background that could make him more skilled as a manager. For example, did he participate in programs somewhere where he was a leader? There are all sorts of reasons he could be a manager, not you. And I'd hardly say 13 days difference is "younger than you."

It is not wise to go in to work with the mindset that people who are older should get paid more. Because a few decades from now you might be replaced with some young punk because your skills are outdated.
Best if you focus on developing your skills and abilities and see where that takes you.

Age shouldn't be a factor. If the person is your manager then they will be making more money than you, regardless of their age. Don't be fooled, he may be younger than you but he has the power to fire you so despite that fact, there should be a display of respect.

you should realize that the money other people are getting does not depend on their age but their ability to the job correctly. besides 13 days is nothing. it xsounds to me like you think just because someone is younger thsn you they dont deserve the same respect. you are wrong. being young has nothing to do with how intelligent somebody is. i know because i am a year ahead in school. a lot of my classmates are suprised i am so "small" and i am in the grade i am in.

So, he is your manager.
At least it is 13 days instead of 13 years!
Br grateful for what you do have because there are so many out there that do not have at all!
And, it is "realized". Work on that spelling! Then maybe you too will be a manager one day!

So what? It would be ridiculous to be paid more simply for being older. Now, if you realize he has less skills and is being paid more, discretely bring it to the attention of management, but at your own risk. Your boss knows what he pays and to whom, and they are paid that way for a reason.

Think of how it was when I didn't have a job. My boss is 12 years younger than I. I just do my job and we get along great.

its not about the experience or senority another person has, employees get paid based on the quality and dedication to their work. if you strongly oppose your manager, talk to him or his boss about it, and maybe you'll get it settled.
