About twice a month our trash doesnt get taken out to the street because my husband forgets. I do not want this job, he should do this atleast! I have woken up out ofd my sleep at 6 am and had to run out their right b4 the truck came. If I dont remind him he forgets. Sometimes I remind him and he puts it off. What to do?

This is responsibility people! I have two jobs, being a mother and working outside the home part time. So after all my work in the house and out, this is all I ask of my husband.
For you people who had stupid suggestions, especially PRIMOMOM you all need to grow up and you do are probably a filthy person and not a commited wife! I have been married 13 years still going very strong!
Responsibiliy comes from two people not one, and I am most certainly not going to take all of it, it takes two to make it work!

Your arms broken? I dont mean to sound rude but who cares who takes the cans to the street as long as they get there. So instead of having to be woken from your sleep at 6am take it out the night before. I know alot of cities say cans can not go to the curb before 9pm so wait til 9pm. Either that or write him notes and put them around the house

lol wow you sure do get angry because no one seems to care that he wont take out the trash. Come live a day in my shoes and deal with what I go through and you wont complain once about taking out the trash. It would be a very minor thing that you wouldnt even think twice about.

Put the forgotten trash in his drivers seat. When he comes back in the house to ask you what the heck is going on tell him he is responsible for getting rid of the trash and since he didn't take care of it before, he has to take care of it now. If he doesn't like it, then he can remember to take it out.

Make him keep the trash in his car till next pick-up day and I guarantee he will find a dumpster somewhere and he won't forget again.

He continues this lazy and forgetful behavior because there is no negative consequences when he doesn't take the trash out. Beat his azz real good with a leather belt next time and everytime thereafter he fails to take out the garbage cans. Problem will go away in 1-2 weeks.

haha .. My husband is the same way. And for a few months I like you was running out there last minute taking it. I got to thinking about all the things he DOES do for me. When he is on his way to work in the morning - trash isn't on his mind I guess. So I just started taking it out myself but kind of make a little joke about. For example are trash day was today and since I took it out I am going to ask him to cook supper (which will probably just involve him dialing Papa Johns) but point being I don't have to cook.

Don't expect him to ever remember. My husband claims he can't even see that his clothes are all over the floor and he never picks up.

You could try hanging a note on the fridge, or mirror in the bathroom or something reminding him to take it out. Or take a look at the things he DOES do for you, and if they add up, take the trash out yourself

Maybe one of these days you will "acidentally" forget to wash his clothes. This is funny you asked this today...my hubby forgot to take the can to the alley, and I barely caught the trash truck and was trying to get my kids in the car for school. Excuse: he thought today was Tuesday...lol. My suggestion is for you to put the cans in front of the front door, he will have to move it to get in the door. Other than that, I don't know. Good luck! :)

The solution is simple and easy; just write a piece of paper reminding him to do so in the bathroom or any place that he frequently goes to in the house. Also, you can ask him to write it as a reminder in his mobile phone. I hope this will help.

It´s a two Party job. When the trash can becomes full place it in his part of his clothing closet. If this doesn´t work, and he has his on Vehicle, place it on his rear seat !

Let the trash accumulate until the neighbours complain or you get bears invading your property.Hopefully he'll get the message. Or withhold ALL services until he shapes up.
