what gives them the right?

the states have again.. started bombing another country.. somolia.. (sorry for my bad spelling)...
i know they are there looking for "terrorists", but what about all the innocent people that are more likely getting hurt?

who gave them the right to just go where they want.. dropping bombs all willy nilly..
did they ask anyone if that was okay if they did that?

don't you think they SHOULD have to ask the UN if its okay??
its like they are some big school yard bully who thinks they can do whatever they want cause no one will make them stop..

who will make them stop? and who are they going to listen too?

Wasn't it just a few days ago that someone on here was griping that the U.S was not helping Somalia? Wow...I guess you just can't win. I'm pretty sure the U.S doesn't drop bombs all "willy nilly". Those puppies are expensive and we don't waste them.

By the way, why is terrorists in quotes like you don't believe they exist? They're not the Easter Bunny hun, they're real and they don't care if you live or die. In fact, they'd rather you weren't alive. Shocking, I know! When you get over being sick and actually READ a newspaper with facts, come back and talk with the grown folks, ok?

There are many, like yourself, who would defer our nation's sovereignty to the UN. Do you have a say in what happens at the UN? I didn't think so. The UN has no say in our affairs, as we (American citizens) don't have a say in the daily happenings at the UN. Why do you believe that we should answer to the UN? I don't see other nations flocking to the UN seeking support or permission for one thing or another. What makes us sooooo special?

This is a war on terror. It has many battlefronts. Today it's Somalia. Have you ever seen "Black-hawk Down"? We're retaliating for those actions against Americans some years ago.

Although those they seek to annihilate in Somalia deserve it IMHO, I agree that the US should curb its actions!

Unless asked by an allied country for help - then placing that issue before either the UN or the 'people' I support them minding their own business.

you are right on point .who will stop them .am starting to dislike the u.n they have no voice or no role really for many years now america has pretty much ignored or bypassed the u.n

Thank you for reminding me why I avoid reading the news. It only depresses me, and I know how little I can do about it. All I can do is vote, and discuss with others the reasons for my vote.
