Should my wireless adapter be able to connect to my roommates router at all times?

I have a Belkin wireless router (USB) that's linked to my roommate's router which is the next room over. When it's connected it's pretty fast. But sometimes it just doesn't find the router. This is not good. I just started school. Is this how it's suppose to be?

When I have a problem I simply cycle my router off and back on after 30 seconds. If that doesn't work you might attempt calling Belkin Tech Support at 800-223-5546. Good luck.

No not really. You probably have to reinstall your wire set up. To be honest Belkin sucks.
