I took the depo shot for 2 years and never had a period. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone I am now 28 years old and have been trying to get pregnant for nearly two years without success. They think the depo may have had ill effects on me. I have also talked with several other girls that took depo and they are also experiencing a range of health problems from it. I would talk to your doctor about a safer alternative.

I am an alternative medicinal therapist and an ex nurse and this type of thing happens when mankind interferes with our natural function. All contraception pills or HRT pills are dangerous because they contain SYNTHETIC HORMONES and are known to cause breast and uterine cancer. I don't like these depo shots because i know many girls who have had a lot of problems, you would be better off on the pill such as it is. You will get another period when your body starts to makes its own hormones again and settles down, If you don't take your mediciation at the proper time your poor body doesnt know where it is and unless you do you will always get this problem..

Hi there, I haven't had Depo but lots of my friends have and often don't have periods at all or very irregular light ones. I have the implant and only get periods if I'm really stressed or on holiday and even then its very light. However it might be worth a phone call to your clinic for real peace of mind.

relax it will probably take a gd couple months for your hormones to level put once again...if you know you're not pregnant there's nothing to worry about...it it's still not really there in a couple months go to your doctor about it.

alot of people have regular periods after having had the shot. if you know you're not pregnant, wait it out. it's normal.
