Can music and video be transferred from an i-pod back to your PC?

My computer froze up and I had to re-install windows. I lost everything, including about 20 gigs worth of music in I-tunes.I tried one program called i-pod rip and it did not work.

nope. but you can manually manager ur iPod taht way all of ur music does not erase off of your iPod...that is probablly your best bet! goodluck!

Probably not, because then technically that would be "copying" music illegally. I tried it once because i had music on an MP3 player, and when i sold the computer it was linked to, I could not transfer any files back. Said, it was against some sort of federal law.
