That is definitely not the answer. You need to be good at whatever your profession is.....And you need to be determined to find a position in your field. If that's not immediately possible, you take something to get your foot in the door......Such as a temp position. Do NOT give up!

You take any job available and keep looking for one in your field. What profession is it? Look close to the same area. If you are an electrician - try a home improvement store clerk job or supply house job - someone buying electrical parts may notice your work ethic and knowledge and hire you for their company. You won't get that same chance for contact scooping ice cream, but it would still pay the bills. And someone with a job carries themselves with just a little more confidence than an unemployed person.
