I would say C, broadly.

We can assume that she wanted the role. Thus if she smiled too broadly, in other words covering her hurt, it would be suspect.

It's rather hard to smile too bitterly, uneasily, or sincerely. If someone was smiling in this situation, someone probably wouldn't be commenting that it is "too" [one of these three] since it would NOT be covering something else up.

i'd say sincerely. because its wierd if she smiles too sincerely as she obviously wanted the part.
