It increases the distance between the "haves" and "have nots". In other words, for those who can afford technology, it can better their lives. However, if you can't afford it you are placed at a greater disadvantage now in an increasingly technologically dependent world.

Also, as people interact more and more in virtual space, it potentially decreases real "face to face" contact.

What do you mean by electronic media? News reported via Television/Radio/Internet? Or Storage media such as magnetic and optical discs?

I'm gonna guess you're talking about wireless transmission. As far as we know, there isn't any danger from it, otherwise we would not be allowed to buy anything that transmits or receives energy in this fashion.
