Do you REALLY think if we completely pulled out of Iraq immediately (or anytime before the gov't could protect itself), we would not have a bigger problem in 10 years?

Do you not think the people who are funded by syria and/or iran (the ones who don't like america) would end up running Iraq, and use the funds of the oil rich nation to harm us in the future?j

Seriously, I want to know if you think like this, thanks.

Not even the Liberals want all the troops out just a pull back that the Iraqis will notice. You need to understand this is a occupation not a war and with a occupation you go home just like in Japan and Germany and Bosnia

Anybody with half a brain knows that if we completely pull out immediately, Iraq will fall apart.

All the BS we've been given on training is just that BS. The Iraqi police and military are a joke. The militias are stronger/have more power.

Problem is, we (the US) aren't doing much to help the situation either.

Face it-- its a no-win situation in the short term. Our only hope is that the Iraqis can get to some semblance of stability in the next few years.

That said-- why are we here? Bush, Rummy et. al. made major strategic errors in the running of the occupation/war.

Good question...

If we wait for 5 years, many more americans will die. After we pull out, within 1-2 years Iraq will collapse (unless we find an iron-fisted dictator to run it).

If we pull out now, within 1 year Iraq will be run by an Islamic fascist regime. But no more americans will die.

Name one stable democracy over there that doesn't require constant funding and attention from the USA. It's a pipe-dream.

Iraq will be a much greater problem than it ever was under Saddam Hussein, whether we stay another 10 months or 10 years. The radical Islamic theocracy that will eventually replace the former dictatorship will make Hussein look like a benevolent dictator in retrospect. Iraqis did not ask for freedom. There is no basis for freedom in Islam, and there will be no freedom in Iraq imposed by America.

No, I don't think we should pull out. I don't know what to do. What I do know is that it is Bush's fault that we are in Iraq in the first place. We might be stuck with his actions for a long time to come.

The problem is already there. If we would never have butted in decades ago they would still be fighting only amongst themselves and wouldn't even be worried about the "Great Satan." I believe that we are going to have a bigger problem in 10 years regardless, so if we pull out now, we will have more resources to deal with domestic attacks.

Of course libtards think that. They don't realize that by killing women and children and occupying a middle eastern country in defiance of the rest of the world we will make less terrorists and Muslims will love us.

They R so dum. Dum dum liberals.

I like your name cuz it has RAGE in it and RAGE is manly. You want to have sex? Not that I'm a fairy or anything. It will be manly republican sex and we won't get married afterwards because I don't beleive in gay marriage. Not that i'm gay or anything.

Turkey is right next to Iraq, and the Turks don't feel any fear of what will happen there. But myopic Bushwhackoffs ignore this contradiction of Fright-Wing propaganda.

when you do decide to, look up the name Mugtada Al Sadr, and once you know a little bit about him, realize that the new Iraqi government is full of his loyalists!
